S154 Relate Party to Provisional File

 

Purposes:

 

This screen allows the MIMS user to relate the new Parties in order to establish a new Provisional File.

 

Prerequisites:

 

1.       MIMS user must have applicable security authorization.

 

            The following groups have access to this panel:

·         Provisional Agents

·         System Administrators

 

Helpful Hints:

 

Ø      MIMS user must have first established from the ISO documents which Party is the Claimant and which Party is the Respondent.

Ø      MIMS user must have Party Numbers for each Party.

Ø      Parties are only the Claimant and the Respondent. No dependants will be related by the Provisional clerk.

Procedure:

 

1.       Enter a Party Number, select the Party Role from the dropdown list and click the ‘Relate Party’   

       button.

2.       ‘Relate Party to Provisional File’ screen is redisplayed with the newly related party information.

3.       Enter the second Party Number, select the Party Role from the dropdown list and click the ‘Relate         

       Party’ button.

4.       ‘Relate Party to Provisional File’ screen is redisplayed with the newly related party information.

5.       Once the two parties have been related, user clicks the NEXT button.

6.       ‘Establish Provisional File’ screen is displayed.

 

Alternative Actions

 

Remove Party

1.       Click  ‘Remove Party’ button and all displayed information is deleted.

2.       The deleted information cannot be retrieved.

 

Cancel

1.       Click  ‘Cancel’ button and all displayed information is deleted.

2.       The deleted information cannot be retrieved.

Provisional File Number

Remains blank until MIMS has established the Provisional File.

File Status

Displays as Active on new Provisional Files.

Claimant

Is the party making the application (may be either the Creditor or the Debtor if there is a MEP File)

Respondent

Is the party to be served with the application (may be either the Creditor or the Debtor if there is a MEP File)

Relate New Party

Party Number

Is the Party Number of either the Claimant or the Respondent.

In Party Role

Is either the Claimant or the Respondent.

Adds the related party to the Related Parties area of the screen.

Displays Party Search – Criteria Relate Party Provisional File.

Related Parties

Party Number

Displays the Party Number of either the Claimant or the Respondent.

Party Name

Displays the current name of either the Claimant or the Respondent as it appears on the ISO documents, or as it appears on the MEP File if a MEP File exists.

Birth Date

Display the Date of Birth of either the Claimant or the Respondent in YYYYMMMDD format where Y = Year, M = Month and D = Day.

Role

Is either the Claimant or the Respondent.

Will display the ‘Establish Provisional File’ screen after the Related Parties information has been added.

Cancels/deletes all information.

Party Information

Party Number

Displays the party number assigned to the party.

Party Name

Displays the current name on file for the party.

Birth Date

Displays the birth date as YYYYMMDD where Y = year, M = month, D = day.

Mailing Address

Displays the mailing address of the party.

Date of Death

Displays the date of death as YYYYMMDD where Y = year, M = month, D = day.

Gender

Displays the gender of the party.

Home Phone

Displays the party’s home phone number.

Work Phone

Displays the party’s work phone number.

SIN

Displays the social insurance number of the party.

PIN

Displays the PIN number if the party already has one assigned.

Address Status

Displays the status of the address as Good or Bad.

Income Support Reference Nbr

Displays the Income Support Reference Number of the party.

I.S. Status

Displays the Income Support Status as Active or Inactive.

Family Maintenance Reference Nbr

Displays the Family Maintenance Reference Number.

F.M. Status

Displays the Family Maintenance status as Active or Inactive.
